Wondering Mind
Driving through deeps and sorrows,
The lone darkness my memory borrows,
Guiding it to the pale bliss of the moon,
But deep down I know, they'll return soon.
Wondering mind of the vapid night,
How much should I experience your might?
In the dark and velvet shroud I guide,
But why should I be the one thrown aside?
But it's my preemptive resignation,
Traveling far into the deep abstraction,
Going as distant as the lengthy railway,
Knowing in dark there is no portal to decay.
In the house familiar there's no peace,
Because my mind can't find coherence,
Endlessly destined for others to aglow,
My own selfish ambitions to overthrow
